Wilderness Landscape & Natural Heritage

Biotopo Cerro Cahuí is a 1,600-hectare protected area situated near the shores of Lake Petén Itzá in the Petén region of Guatemala. Established to preserve the unique biodiversity of the area, it features dense forests, rolling hills, and wetland environments. The biotope is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including howler monkeys, jaguars, and a multitude of bird species. It serves as an important habitat for local flora and fauna, some of which are rare or endangered.
