Bellingrath Gardens and Home is a 65-acre public garden and historic estate located on the banks of the Fowl River near Mobile, Alabama. This area features a rich variety of horticultural displays including azaleas, camellias, roses, and hundreds of seasonal blooms that transform with the year. The garden was created in 1932 by Walter and Bessie Bellingrath, who developed the landscape around their 12-room Spanish Colonial Revival-style home. Visitors can explore formal gardens, woodland trails, and a reflecting pool alongside the original home, which is preserved with period furnishings and offers a glimpse into early 20th-century Southern life.
