Endau-Rompin National Park

Endau-Rompin National Park straddles the states of Johor and Pahang in southern Peninsular Malaysia and is considered one of the oldest rainforests in the world, with an estimated age of over 248 million years. The park covers rugged terrain characterized by granite hills, rivers, and dense equatorial rainforest. It is home to a rich variety of flora and fauna, including rare and endangered species such as the Malayan tiger, Asian elephant, tapir, and the Rafflesia, the world's largest flower. Visitors can explore the park via a network of jungle trails that lead to notable natural landmarks including the Seri Perpat waterfall and the majestic twin-peaked Gunung Berembun. The park has cultural significance as well, with indigenous Orang Asli communities residing in and around its borders who continue to maintain traditional lifestyles. Outdoor enthusiasts come here for trekking, wildlife watching, canopy walks, and river activities. The park offers an immersive experience into one of Malaysia’s most pristine lowland forests, with opportunities for guided night walks and birdwatching.
