Krabi Forest Park, located near Krabi Town in southern Thailand’s Krabi Province, is a protected area encompassing approximately 13.658 square kilometers of lush tropical forest and dramatic limestone hills. The park is famed for its iconic karst landscape marked by towering limestone cliffs, caves, and unique rock formations that distinguish the area from surrounding lowlands. The forest consists mainly of tropical dry evergreen forest and supports a wide variety of plant species including Dipterocarps, palms, and various orchids. This green enclave plays an important ecological role as a wildlife refuge for local bird species and small mammals, although large animal sightings are rare due to the park’s relatively small size and proximity to urban areas.

Historically, the area has been recognized for its natural beauty and ecological significance since its designation as a protected forest park in 1981.
