The Chortiatis Forest Reserve is located on Mount Chortiatis, a prominent mountain in Central Macedonia, Greece, rising to an elevation of approximately 1,201 meters (3,940 feet). The reserve covers a forested area characterized primarily by native Mediterranean vegetation mixed with broadleaf and coniferous species.
