About

At the Downtown Aquarium, we're more than just fish! Join us for an exciting journey into animal care, conservation, and exploration, and experience the rewarding role of being a zoologist firsthand. Young animal lovers will spend the day learning how we care for our creatures that live outside the ocean including Bengal tigers, two-toed sloths, parrots, reptiles, and more! Participants will go behind-the-scenes, encounter live animals, build animal enrichment, meet our knowledgeable animal care team, and much more!

Special Needs & Health Considerations

We are dedicated to creating an inclusive and safe experience for all participants. If your child has any special needs, allergies, or health concerns, please provide this information during the registration process so we can make necessary accommodations whenever possible.

  • Participants must be able to administer their own medication (i.e. inhalers, epi-pens) if needed. Aquarium Staff are not permitted to administer medications.
  • Please note that we do not provide medications on-site (Tylenol, Benedryl, etc.).
  • We understand that each child's needs are unique and we are here to address any additional concerns or questions you may have. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our Education Department at AquariumHouston@Ldry.com or call us at (713) 315-5112.

Program Minimum and Refunds

Our program requires a minimum of 5 registered participants to proceed successfully. We value your commitment and enthusiasm, and we appreciate your understanding of the importance of this minimum requirement. If the attendance minimum is not met two weeks prior to the scheduled program date, we will provide you with options:

  • You will be contacted to discuss the possibility of rescheduling your program for a future date.
  • Alternatively, a full refund will be processed.
