Adventure tips

Charge and conserve your phone batteryThe game runs entirely on your phone and uses GPS; bring a full charge and a power bank to avoid getting cut off mid-game.

Stick to daylight startsBegin during daylight to read clues clearly and navigate busy intersections safely—evenings are possible but visibility drops.

Plan a central routeUse the docks, Bold Street and the Georgian Quarter as anchors to keep walking distances short and checkpoints reachable within an hour.

Respect private property and businessesChallenges may tempt shortcuts — always stay on public paths and ask before entering commercial premises.

Recommended gear

Smartphone with GPS: Required to run the app, receive challenges and chat with the remote host.
Portable power bank: Keeps your phone alive through GPS use and photo-based challenges.
Comfortable walking shoes: Paved streets and occasional cobbles make supportive footwear important.
Light waterproof jacket: Liverpool weather changes quickly; a packable rain layer keeps you moving between checkpoints.
