About

Soar through the air on the only zipline on the South Fork of the American River! As you glide by noble Ponderosa Pines and Valley Oaks, you catch glimpses of the river in between the towering trees. Then, challenge yourself with a high ropes experience and learn what you are capable of. Zip lining and ropes add not only a thrill but a new perspective.

The Gorge Run begins with mellow Class II rapids and builds to a thrilling crescendo of whitewater. This enables paddlers to hone their paddling skills and grow accustomed to being on the river. As the trip continues the river canyon narrows into the granite-walled ‘Gorge’ where guests will experience a series of continuous Class III rapids including Fowler’s Rock, Satan’s Cesspool , Satan’s Sister, Scissors, Elevator Shaft, Hospital Bar, and Recovery Room!

Adventure Tips

Wear secure footwear

Stay hydrated

Carry a refillable water bottle—physical activity combined with the California sun can dehydrate you quickly.
