You arrive at a wide dirt drive, the kind that throws up soft plumes of dust and carries the smell of hay and spruce. Guides wave from a big brown barn at 10856 N Wolverine Rd.; horses stamp and nuzzle as helmets are fitted. For the next five-and-a-half hours the landscape asks you to move in two different languages: the slow, patient gait of a horse across creek crossings and meadows, and the sudden, airborne language of zipline cables that run between towers above Wolverine Canyon.

Should be in moderate aerobic shape — able to walk on uneven ground and handle two hours of horseback riding plus short walks to zip platforms.
Meet at the big brown barn at 10856 N Wolverine Rd. Guides check everyone in there before the horseback portion.
The guided loop is about two hours and rated intermediate — expect rolling hills, creek crossings and some uneven trail.
Weight limits range from 80 to 200 lbs. The tour is not recommended for pregnant travelers or people with serious back or heart conditions.
Lines are set up for tandem riding to allow guests to share the experience; guides handle rigging and braking so prior zipline experience isn’t necessary.
Plan roughly 45–60 minutes from downtown Anchorage depending on traffic and weather; allow extra time in winter conditions.
