A wind-quickened rope hums beneath your harness as you climb the wooden tower and scan a canyon that cuts like a wide seam through the rainforest. The tower rises about 18 meters (54 ft) above the trail, and below, the canyon drops roughly 120 meters (360 ft) toward the thunder of water. From this perch you can see Arenal's cone and the white ribbon of La Fortuna Waterfall; when the line releases, the forest seems to reach for you.
