The National Dog Show at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks is a regional treasure and a national phenomenon because of the tradition it holds and since NBC TV special that airs on Thanksgiving Day following the Macy's Parade. Come Saturday and/or Sunday to see Breed, Group and Best in Show judging plus top agility and performance dogs.
Can I bring a stroller? Strollers are not allowed on the premises. Wheelchairs and walkers are permitted, as National Dog Show complies with all American Disabilities Act requirements. Handicapped seating is available.
No Strollers Policy Although the KCP's National Dog Shows are a welcoming venue for families and persons of all ages, we cannot allow the presence of baby strollers on the show floors. Due to the unique nature of our shows, with several thousand dogs of all breeds and sizes throughout all areas of the venue, we have instituted this policy in the interest of providing a safe environment for young children who would be put in a vulnerable position while at floor level in a stroller.
The Kennel Club of Philadelphia’s two benched, all-breed dog shows are recognized by The American Kennel Club, and will help raise money for a variety of canine-related causes. Prior beneficiaries of The Kennel Club of Philadelphia include Morris Animal Refuge, New Leash on Life USA, Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House, The Utley Foundation and the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. With the friendly ticket pricing of $20 for adults, $10 for children 4-11 and free for children 3 and under, the National Dog Show is one of the best entertainment values in America.
Can I get tickets at the door? Yes, the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center is a large venue that accommodates thousands of people, so tickets will not sell out.
When is Best in Show announced? Best in show is announced at approximately 6 p.m. on Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Is there seating provided? Yes, there is seating available for the group judging in the stadium show ring, but it is first come, first serve. There is limited seating around the breed rings on the expo center floor, also first come, first serve. There is no reserved seating.
Can I get reimbursements if I cannot make it to the show after buying tickets? No refunds will be provided as the Kennel Club of Philadelphia is a nonprofit with the mission of educating the public about responsible pet parenting and the wonderfulness of dogs.
Can I bring someone different than what it says on my ticket?
Yes, everyone who has a ticket will be permitted entry regardless of whether their name matches the name on the ticket. One ticket per person.
Can I bring my own dog? You cannot bring your own dog to the show.
