First light finds the van easing out of Oakhurst, pines flattening into open granite as the road climbs toward Yosemite's high country. The day's rhythm is deliberate: short hikes, long views, and a guide who layers geology over history with the same steadiness they layer socks and a windshirt. By mid-morning the group is stepping onto Taft Point — the granite underfoot is cool, the fissures yawning like thoughtful questions. Below, Yosemite Valley spreads and the river dares the cliffs to throw it off-course.

Moderate—regular walkers who can handle multiple short hikes and some stair-like scrambling will be comfortable.
The full-day tour runs about 6–8 hours total with roughly 6 miles of mild-to-moderate hiking split among several short trails.
Meet at the Oakhurst Park & Ride; round-trip transportation to Yosemite is included in the tour price.
Park entry fees are included according to the tour itinerary, but confirm at booking in case of updates.
It’s best for people with moderate fitness; short scrambles and some exposure at Taft Point may be challenging for very young kids or those with mobility limits.
Bring at least 2 liters of water, layered clothing, and a packed lunch—snacks and beverages are also provided by the tour.
