Before dawn a private van climbs away from Yangshuo and the world reduces to headlamps and the slow breathing of a village. You meet Xianggong Hill as the sky unwraps—karst peaks uncurling from river fog, the Li River threading silver between cliffs that seem to dare you to look away. That first light slants over boats, bamboo groves and the lacing of fields below.

Pickup is typically around 4:00am from Guilin or 4:30am from Yangshuo to reach Xianggong Hill for sunrise.
