Adventure tips

Hydrate between stopsMiami’s heat builds fast—carry water or use bottled water provided during the tour to avoid overheating.

Sun protection mattersWide-brim hats and sunscreen are useful even on partly cloudy days; many murals offer little shade.

Respect studio rulesAsk before photographing inside private galleries or studios—some exhibits restrict flash or images.

Comfortable footwearExpect short walks on pavement and occasional gravel; low-profile walking shoes reduce fatigue.

Recommended gear

Comfortable walking shoes: Supportive shoes handle pavement, sidewalks and occasional gravel lots.
Sun hat & sunglasses: Protects against strong sun during open-air mural stops.
Refillable water bottle: Staying hydrated is important in Miami’s heat; bottled water may be provided but a bottle is handy.
Light rain jacket: Afternoon showers are common in summer—bring a packable rain shell.
