What to Expect

When you arrive at the Wynwood Graffiti Experience, we will have a large canvas panel set up along with a table-full of spray paint of all colors. Masks and gloves will be on hand for personal protection. Although we rarely have issues with ruining clothes, it is best to come in something something comfortable that you won’t mind having a few paint dots on. We will take you step by step through the basics of using spray-paint. We start with the very basics: how to hold, angle and handle the spray can and manipulate the pressure and length of the spray to paint dots of different sizes, lines of different widths, and to write letters. Then we move on to some more complex skills, like creating a drop shadow, making backgrounds and patterns, and doing a color gradient. After going through the skills of the lesson part of the Wynwood graffiti experience, you will have time to experiment on your own and compose an artwork of your own design. Our facilitator will be there to give guidance and tips, and to answer questions while working alongside you.
