Woodworking is a hobby that has historically required a connection to someone who really knows their way around a workshop.
Are you unable to casually dabble in woodworking because you need tools and space, but you don’t want to commit to a woodworking apprenticeship?
We are here to be your woodworking plug. This workshop will get you started with the skills needed to design and build the furniture of your dreams.
You’ll begin this workshop with a few pieces of oak. You’ll then cut and shape the oak into the individual parts of your table, using a mitre saw, a router table, a table saw, and a belt sander.
Never used any of those? Don’t worry! Each workshop has a “guide” who is there to guide you (obvi)!
After tool time, you will make sure everything fits together precisely before assembling your masterpiece.
You'll be working with power tools and wood; comfortable, sturdy shoes keep you safe.
Always wear safety glasses and ear protection during the workshop to prevent injuries.
Getting there a bit early ensures you’re prepared and can start on time with full focus.
Workshop duration is enough to take a break; staying energized helps maintain focus.
