We walk through Amsterdam's historic center, uncovering stories of badass women hidden in plain sight.
Highlights include:
- The city bank and the first Black female millionaire in the Americas
- The VOC and the Indonesian feminist whose legacy continues to be fought over
- The hidden courtyard and the women who practiced creative defiance
Please wear good walking shoes and dress for the weather. In true Dutch fashion, we try to go rain or shine and cold or heat, though we will cancel and reschedule/refund if the weather looks severe.
The tour ends at the Spui. If you're biking to the tour, a good place to park is the Upper Rokin.
Traveling Solo?
We have a minimum of 2 people per tour, so if you have trouble finding a single availability at the time you want, you have three options:
- Team up with a (new) friend to start a tour at that time!
- Book a Solo Traveler Ticket, and we’ll move you to a spot on an upcoming tour.
- Follow us on Instagram or Facebook where we post stories 2 days in advance if we have any openings in a scheduled tour.
