Duration

2.5 Hours per module

Overview

USCCA’s Women’s Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals is a welcoming and engaging training program created by a woman for women who are seeking to begin, improve upon, or add to their firearms skills.

With three distinct modules, this course is designed for students from the earliest beginners to those who are ready to learn more about defensive shooting. The three modules, taken as a whole, will begin to prepare you to carry confidently every day with tips and techniques from experienced women in the world of firearms.

Level 1 - Basic

Level 1 is designed for the brand new shooter or the woman who has never had any formal firearms training. Safety and understanding the fundamentals of pistol shooting are the goal for this module. We will do a number of “dry fire” exercises in the classroom to practice safety and basic pistol manipulation before ever hitting the range. Out on the range, the goal is to get those introductory shots down range and start to build good habits of safety and pistol handling & shooting fundamentals.

Student should bring:

  • Pistol (rentals available)
  • 50 rounds of appropriate ammunition
  • Eye & Ear Protection
  • Water/Beverage
  • Pen & Notebook
  • Please wear close-toed shoes and avoid low cut blouses/shirts.
