Step aboard the Adirondack III for a cruise to Winthrop to watch the fireworks and then sail back to Boston at the end. Enjoy a complimentary drink of any kind with your purchase!

This 3-hour cruise/sail/fireworks event offers guests the opportunity to soak up Winthrop's fireworks display from an elegant and relaxing vantage point out on the water. The Adirondack III is a brilliant 80-foot long pilot schooner modeled after similar boats built in the 1890s. Ample space is provided on deck to accommodate each and every one of its guests, ensuring a comfortable and quality experience for anyone who boards.

In addition to a fantastic experience, this captivating Winthrop Fireworks Cruise will feature delicious, complimentary desserts.

Please note that we may not be able to raise sail for the fireworks due to crowding in the harbor. If time permits, we may do some sailing after the fireworks. Come join us as we celebrate our Independence!

About Adirondack III

Inspired by the pilot schooners of the 1890’s, Classic Harbor Line’s Adirondack III is 80-ft in length, features teak decks, mahogany-trimmings, complete with 2 bathrooms, and just under 2,000 square feet of canvas to escort you through Boston’s historic harbor! Though it is a light and lively sailing vessel, it is also quite comfortable, with ample deck space and seating for up to 41. It was designed and built by Scarano Boat Building of Albany, NY for taking groups of people on spectacular sightseeing adventures. Sailing in this schooner is a delight. She moves through the water efficiently and beautifully; we take great pride in sharing her with you. The Adirondack III is operated by Coast Guard-certified captains and an extremely friendly and talented crew. Our crew is known for their amazing hospitality, and are professionally trained and experienced in sailing our vessels well and safely. Do not hesitate to ask our crew about the boat or any of the Boston sites.


What Is Not Included?

  • One Drink is included with ticket price. Credit Cards are the only form of payment accepted on your cruise. Please plan accordingly. Soda & Water is $2.00, beer is $6.00, wine is $7.00/glass, and mixed drinks are $9.00.
  • Food is not included on this cruise, but you are welcome to bring any food you like!
  • Gratuity is not included in the price of your sail.

  • Upon arrival, please go to the ferry terminal at 60 Rowes Wharf to obtain boarding passes in exchange for your confirmation.

Cancellation Policy

An option to reschedule or convert to a gift certificate is available up until 24-hours prior to departure. We are not able to offer refunds. Requests for cancellation, rescheduling, or conversion to gift credit must be sent by email to publicsails@boston-sailing.com. *Unique cancellation terms can be offered upon request. Please call 617-951-2460.

Activity takes place rain or shine, but within reason

For schooner sailing excursions, a captain-authorized cancellation or delay may be issued up until departure time if the weather is deemed too threatening to the safety or enjoyment of the experience. Extreme high winds, fog, torrential rain, extremely low temperatures, etc. may all contribute to a cancellation decision.

Other Policies

All participants are required to have tickets for this event. According to U.S. Coast Guard capacity rules, all passengers including infants and toddlers must have a ticket.

Activity may be canceled due to severe weather The activity usually runs in light rain and other moderate weather conditions, but the seller may cancel the activity up to an hour before the start time in the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions. If the seller cancels the event, ticket-holders will be allowed to reschedule tickets (subject to availability), receive a credit for a future event, or receive a refund.

Parties of 12 or more will be contacted for an additional gratuity charge of 15% Classic Harbor Line will contact you directly within 48 hours of your purchase to take your credit card information for the additional charge. You must be reachable at the telephone number and email you provided.

Beverages and Coolers Outside adult beverage and coolers are not allowed aboard. Please bring valid identification with you. Identification is checked prior to boarding for guests interested in an adult beverage.

Check-In Upon arrival to our location, please check–in with our ticket representative inside the ferry terminal to receive boarding passes.
