Tour description

Many people dream of owning a husky. Many people dream of exploring Arctic nature. Now you can have the best of both worlds by taking our affectionate dogs out for a walk in the beautiful Lappish woods. Breathe in the cleanest air in the whole wide world, eat berries, and admire the changing seasons. An experienced guide will accompany you, sharing stories about Lapland and its most famous dogs. We recommend sharing a husky between two people, as these energetic dogs pull vigorously—teamwork makes the dream work!

Please note

We kindly ask all our guests to treat the animals with respect. Always approach slowly, avoiding sudden movements that might startle the animals. While our dogs are friendly and accustomed to humans, maintaining a peaceful composure will ensure the best experience.

Please wear clothes and shoes suitable for the weather and forest.

How do I get to the activity?

If you stay at Apukka Resort:

  • Arrive at the meeting point 10 min. before the start of the activity.

If you need transportation:

  • The price of the activity includes transfers to and from Apukka Resort with our shuttle bus.
  • The bus stops are located at Rovaniemi city center and Santa Claus Village’s bus stop, situated by the main road (Road E75).
  • Choose the pick-up point during the booking process.
  • You will receive an email with the pick-up details.
  • Please be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before the given departure time.
  • The transfer won’t wait, so punctuality is essential!
  • If you’re late for the transfer, the tour won’t be refunded.

If you arrive by car:

  • You can park your car in Apukka’s parking lot (Tutkijantie 28, Rovaniemi).
  • Arrive at least 20 min before the activity starts.
  • Wait at the meeting point until the tour begins.
