About This Adventure

Embark on a breathtaking whale watching adventure from Tromsø, where you'll witness the majestic migration of humpback and killer whales in the stunning Arctic fjords. Enjoy a comfortable cruise aboard the heated catamaran Alba, guided by passionate experts, with free hot drinks and a Whale Pass guarantee for peace of mind.

We take you on a whale safari from Tromsø to the feeding grounds of killer whales (Orcinus orca) and humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae) as they gather in the fjords of Northern Norway for their yearly feast on Atlantic herring (Clupea harengus).

‍ Our guides will be looking out for other wildlife as well, including other cetacean species such as harbour porpoises (Phocoena phocoena) and white-beaked dolphins (Lagenorhynchus albirostris), and birdlife such as little auk (Alle alle) and white-tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla).

We have tea, coffee and biscuits available throughout the whole day, and an option to have a light warm soup lunch on the way back to Tromsø in the afternoon. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are also available for purchase.

Duration

The trips typically last approximately 7-8 hours, although this may vary depending on weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. Please take this into consideration when making your travel plans; we spend a full day out at sea.

Our rates include the following:

  • Full day whale watching tour
  • Multilingual naturalist guide for the duration of the safari
  • Light warm lunch snack
  • Coffee, tea & biscuits
