Departing from Bar Harbor; enjoy a boat ride over to the Winter Harbor/ Schoodic Peninsula (The quieter side of Acadia National Park) Bring snacks, a picnic lunch or enjoy ordering great food from one of the local area restaurants. Bike riders enjoy this area....bring a bike over on the ferry! The Island Explorer 'free' shuttle will meet at the ferry and also is designed to carry bikes. Ask for a Schoodic Chamber brochure for a wealth of details on hiking, biking and shopping.
Departing from Winter Harbor; Conveniently arrives at the Bar Harbor Inn pier after the approximate 45 minute boat ride. While on the boat, look for wildlife such as seals, harbor porpoise, bald eagles and other water foul. Arriving in Bar Harbor, enjoy shopping, restaurants and other in town activities as well as visiting Acadia National park by shuttle or other means of transportation. Bring a bike or rent one in Bar Harbor. Take a Windjammer Cruise of Frenchman Bay!
