This farm, located in the charming Karst village of Tomaj, was named 'Gabršje' many generations ago, according to a very charismatic woman. An old record states that the most famous lady in this farm was ‘molto vivace’ (very lively). And that’s exactly what the wine made at the Petelin-Rogelja is: Very lively.
Their barrels mostly contain premium Teran wine, but Malvazija, Vitovska Grganja and other varieties are also served. The offer is complemented by different brandies and liqueurs, whereas the grape brandy matures in small barrels made from three types of wood. The tasting takes place in a stone-vaulted Karst wine cellar where you will also enjoy the selection of local cheeses and dry-cured meats.
