The Hunter Valley is Australia's oldest wine making region that is located just over 2 hours drive from Sydney. With over 150 wineries and a range of grape types including Chardonnay, Semillion, Verdelho, Shiraz and Merlot amongst others, there is an abundance of wine loving varieties to sample and enjoy. We will choose up to 3 vineyards to visit after discussing your personal tastes.

Historical Town Option: Wollombi is a small historical town almost lost in time. The town was built on Great Northern Road built by convicts in the early days of the New South Wales British Colony. Together we'll discover its quaint modern day reality while learning about its' interesting history. Wollombi is the perfect stop on the way to the vineyards. It's a great place to enjoy a coffee and snack. We'll learn about and explore the towns beautifully preserved old buildings and even visit the Endeavour Museum (+$2) if that interests you.

Wildlife Park Option: If you are interested in Australian and foreign animals the Hunter Valley Zoo is a great destination to include on your tour. Personalised encounters (extra cost) can include feeding the lions or perhaps the meerkats or limas if the big cats are too scary for you. Of course there's a range of wonderful Australian animals to see also including kangaroos and koalas.
