When the road takes you onto the Karst plateau, do not overlook the village of Komen, located at its heart. At the end of the village, one finds the Perinova Homestead that extends a warm welcome to visit their farm.
While they have inherited effective work habits and traditions from their ancestors, they are constantly investing in knowledge and skills to ensure their guests have top-notch products available. They produce premium wines in their own vineyards. Their red and white wines include the Teran wine (with a recognised traditional denomination) and the Malvazija wine (with a protected designation of origin). Apart from winemaking, they raise meat breeds of sheep, goat and cattle that are put out to pasture over 35 hectares of dry karst meadows. The farm’s cattle-breeding segment is included in certified agriculture.
