Wineries on the Tour

Ex Nihilo Vineyards – Enjoy flavourful red and white wines complemented by north to south views of Okanagan Lake and mountain views to your west on this southwest facing vineyard. The 10 acre, 8000 square foot Mediterranean style tasting room, and winery creates a destination where you can enjoy a truly unique Okanagan Valley wine experience. Maintaining Ex Nihilo’s original philosophy of art on the creation of the winery, Ex Nihilo has created an environment to emphasize the connection between wine and art as evidenced throughout the Okanagan Valley. Ex Nihilo has established itself as a premier destination for fine wine and fine, local art as displayed throughout the winery and tasting room.

Arrowleaf Cellars Winery – The main focus has always been their 16 acre Suncrest Vineyard in Okanagan Centre. Initial plantings of Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, and Bacchus date back to 1986 and subsequent plantings of Zweigelt, Merlot, Pinot Gris and Vidal were added from 1998 to 2000. Most of the vineyard is situated on a westerly slope and consists of well-drained gravelly glacial till and sandy loam soil. The high altitude and proximity to the lake give the vineyard a moderate climate with a long frost-free period, allowing the grapes to hang on the vines well into October. This vineyard produces the lively and aromatic wines we have become known for. Come see for yourself!

Gray Monk Cellars – The roots of Gray Monk Estate Winery began in the family. For generations, the Heiss family worked together to make their dreams of owning a vineyard into reality. Today, their slogan is “Generations of Commitment”, recognizing the years of working together as a family to see their dreams come true. They are very proud of the quality of their wines and their customers’ appreciation of these wines. They hope you will take the opportunity to share a glass of award-winning wine and a toast with them this summer!

50th Parallel Estate – A visit to 50th Parallel Estate will leave you with a charismatic taste to be enjoyed for the remainder of your day. Specialist producers of Pinot Noir and aromatic white wines. The goal of 50th Parallel Estate Winery is to produce one of the best Pinot Noirs in the world. To achieve this vision, management has engaged the expertise of Adrian Baker, award-winning wine-maker from New Zealand, to oversee wine grape cultivation, vineyard management, and focused artisan wine production.

Intrigue Wines – At Intrigue Wines, you will leave with more than just a taste of fine wine! This boutique winery features great tasting, locally sourced antipastos, jams, jellies, sausages and cheeses while providing you with wine tasting opportunities next to their spacious outdoor patio. The owners of Intrigue Wines bring a strong resume to each and every bottle, specializing their wine making skills in years past at such venues as Tinhorn Creek, Gray Monk Cellars and Granville Island Brewing.
