Morning light slides along the Willamette and the city exhales into view — bridges arching like ribs above the water, the USS Blueback hulking at its berth, and a piano murmuring on the aft deck. On this two-hour brunch cruise you glide through Portland’s central spine, mimosa in hand, while a narrator points out bridges, islands and the industrial edges that shaped the river.
