About

The Marietas islands are now famous for what is known as the “hidden beach” or Lovers’ Beach (Playa del Amor), a unique beach that can easily be spotted from the air through a crater in one of the islands (Round Island / Isla Redonda), from the sea it’s not that obvious and there’s only a small tunnel when the tide is low.

This is the main attraction, you need to reserve to get one of the 116 spots a day.

Visit Marietas Islands and enjoy the great submarine world great diversity of fish that find food and shelter in the reefs of the site, such as the king angelfish, the Moorish idol and giant damselfish, as well various species of surgeonfish, butterflyfish, parrot fish and balloon fish. As part of the rocky reef we can observe several species of corals and sponges, as well as tunicates, starfish and sea urchins, among other marine invertebrates that your guide will point out. You can also watch, with a bit of luck and patience, dolphins or sea turtles resting or traveling near the place.
