About

Embark on an unforgettable journey into the heart of the Salish Sea, where the enchanting world of whales awaits. As spring breathes new life into the coastal waters, humpback whales make their grand entrance, gracing our region from late spring through late fall. Some humpbacks choose to extend their stay, adding their majestic presence to the year-round beauty of the Salish Sea, provided they are not preparing to calve during the winter months.

But the allure of the Salish Sea doesn't end with humpback whales. Orcas, the iconic symbols of this pristine marine ecosystem, make periodic appearances throughout the year. Mid-February through April heralds the arrival of the Biggs Orcas, drawn by the world-famous herring spawn and the abundance of life it brings. With their sleek black dorsal fins slicing through the waves, orcas are common sights in our area, and their diet is intricately intertwined with the rich biodiversity of the Salish Sea.

At FunShip, our wildlife tours offer a unique approach to whale watching. Instead of actively chasing whales, we embark on our own adventure, exploring landmarks, historic sights, and the breathtaking beauty of the Salish Sea. It's a journey shared with friends and loved ones, where the magic of being on the water is about more than just sightings—it's about sharing space with the incredible marine life that calls this place home. Join us for an unforgettable experience, where every moment on the water is a celebration of nature's wonders.
