Classic mountain vacation family photography sessions are recommended for groups of up to twenty five and often last up to 90 minutes including meet, travel, and session times. Classic Mountain Vacation Family Photography Sessions are great for family members of all ages since they are photographed in easy to access locations in Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Join us in one of our preferred mountain photography spots or choose to have one of our experienced Estes Park Photographers meet you at your mountain home or favorite location. Most Classic Mountain Vacation Family Photography sessions are photographed in mid morning and early evening which is widely considered the most preferred light of the day. Classic sessions can be shot effectively at other times of day if clouds are present, we are in the shade, or if a sunny look is desired. Classic mountain family photography sessions typically include 75 edited images with the final number depending on group composition, desires, weather, and overall level of cooperation.
During a typical Classic Mountain Vacation Family Photography Session our Estes Park photographer will take several hundred total photos. Each photograph taken is done so in a format called "RAW". According to Adobe, the maker of top grade professional editing software Lightroom and Photoshop, "a RAW file is lossless, meaning it captures uncompressed data from your camera sensor. Sometimes referred to as a digital negative, you can think of a RAW file as the raw “ingredients” of a photo that will need to be processed in order to bring out the picture’s full potential. Most professional photographers shoot in RAW because it gives them more information to work with in the post-processing phase." The Estes Park Family Photographers team believe the advantage of shooting in RAW is we get the opportunity to access the most information possible in order create the best possible images for our clients.
Once your family photography session has been completed and you go back to your relaxing vacation vibe the real work begins for our team. We begin by importing all of the raw images taken and begin the painstaking process of selecting the best of the best to undergo hours of editing and retouching. We take the time to touch each and every photo to ensure we deliver the most expressive images possible. We enhance each photo by adjusting standard professional elements such as color, contrast, and highlights. Whenever possible, we eliminate unwanted background objects, reduce or remove hair fly-aways, slim arms and tummies, remove flash bulbs from glasses, lessen obvious pimples and blemishes, reduce perspiration or water spots, and lessen dark under eye circles. We even whiten teeth and enhance skies on a few up close photographs. Finally, we hand-pick certain images and often add special artistic touches to chosen poses such as black and white, sepia, watercolor, and other special effects.
Once your photos are ready for you to enjoy we will send you an email with a link to your photo gallery. From your password protected gallery you can share your photos with friends and family, post directly to Facebook, Twitter and Pintrest, download your images to your computer, and even purchase prints from our professional lab at half price. Family photography clients should expect their gallery to be viewable in less than two weeks of their session date.
