This day is a challenging hiking journey into tranquil and remote pristine rainforest surrounded by giant rock faces, rugged volcanic peaks, and ancient Kauri, Rimu and Rata trees. Wonder at the world’s largest tree ferns, crystal clear rivers and rock pools.

You may be treated to meeting our ‘friends’ of nature. Enjoy the fascinating history and learn about the flora and fauna within this magnificent forest. We will have a picnic lunch to enjoy by the river or up in the mountains.
