About This Adventure

Embark on a captivating 9-hour journey through Scotland's rich heritage, featuring iconic sites like Stirling Castle and Doune Castle, famous for its film appearances. Experience breathtaking Highland landscapes, enjoy a Sheepdog show, savor a cozy pub lunch, and indulge in a Whisky Tasting Masterclass, all tailored to your interests.

Duration: 9hrs

Set off from your hotel or cruise ship, whether you’re docking in Leith, South Queensferry, Newhaven, Greenock, or staying in Edinburgh or Glasgow, and head northwest towards the historic city of Stirling. As we approach, you’ll be greeted by the imposing sights of Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument—icons of Scottish heritage. Upon request, we can arrange a visit inside these majestic structures for a closer look at Scotland’s valiant past.

Crossing into the Highland boundary fault line, where the majestic Highlands meet the rolling Lowlands, our journey takes us through breathtaking landscapes towards Aberfoye. Here, weather permitting, you might enjoy a captivating Sheepdog show, a testament to Scotland’s pastoral heritage. We then continue over the infamous ‘Dukes Pass’, a stunning mountain route, before settling down for a cozy pub lunch in one of the quaint local inns.

After lunch, the picturesque town of Callander beckons. Spend some time soaking in its charm before heading to Doune Castle, a site famed not only as Castle Leoch from Outlander but also as Winterfell from the Game of Thrones pilot and the hilariously absurd setting of ‘Monty Python and the Holy Grail’.

Next, delve into the spirit of Scotland with a Whisky Tasting Masterclass at the Grail. This personalized experience introduces you to at least three distinct drams, helping you discover your favorite amidst tales and traditions of Scotch whisky. For those seeking a unique souvenir, the Grail offers exclusive whiskies available only in Scotland.

Our day culminates with a visit to the awe-inspiring Kelpies. Standing 100 feet high, these aluminum horse head sculptures are not only a feat of modern art but also perfect for capturing memorable selfies.
