About This Adventure

Join our exciting program for Home Schooled Primary School Students, where young wildlife enthusiasts dive into the world of animal care and conservation. Participants engage in hands-on activities like feeding, cleaning, and exhibit design, gaining unique insights into the life of a Wildlife Keeper while fostering a deep connection with nature.

About

Our special program designed for Home Schooled Primary School Students. Each participant will learn about our unique Animals and the level of care involved in keeping these animals in good health, as well as learning about their natural history and role in conservation – all while having a lot of fun! Connecting with our natural environment and our Ambassador animals helps give a better understanding of the importance of the world around us. For those who already have developed a passion for animals it will give them an insight into a Wildlife Keepers world. The Wildlife Heroes will engage in a variety of keeper based activities • Feeding and cleaning • Preparing and giving enrichment • Monitoring and research • Exhibit design

They will perform special duties helping to maintain and care for the Animals at Urimbirra Wildlife. Arriving before the Park is open they will see what is involved behind the scenes and help get the Park ready for visitors. They will also make and learn about enrichment to stimulate natural behaviours and will see for themselves the amazing skills our animals have developed to live in their environment. Please note - as we go behind the scenes, wearing our special tshirt is required - please order if you don't already have one! This is a "Drop and go" type program, - if you feel your child might need extra support - please have a look at our Inclusive Heroes program.
