Full Day (12 Hours)
The day will commence in Melbourne, and our journey will lead us along the picturesque coastline to our first destination: Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park. Here, your guide will provide a comprehensive tour of this acclaimed wildlife park, where you'll encounter an array of iconic Australian animals such as kangaroos, wombats, and Tasmanian devils. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to discover lesser-known species like the spot-tailed quoll, yellow-bellied glider, and long-nosed potoroo. Engage in a ranger talk focused on koalas, gaining insights into one of Australia's most beloved marsupials. Take pleasure in interacting with native Australian birds and reptiles, hand-feeding kangaroos and wallabies, or capturing a memorable photo with a cuddly koala (at your own expense).
Our journey will then progress to Phillip Island, with our next stop at Cape Woolamai Beach (if time permits). Observe the surfers in action and relish a leisurely stroll along the sandy shores.
Continuing onwards, we'll arrive at the Nobbies, where you can explore coastal boardwalks and marvel at the rugged scenery. Keep an eye out for fur seals at Seal Rocks and witness the impressive blowhole, which occasionally sends seawater cascading into the air. During winter, you may even have the chance to spot whales offshore, while in summer, you can peek into small burrows to catch a glimpse of penguin chicks awaiting their parents' return.
As the day transitions into evening, we'll head to Summerland Beach in anticipation of the main attraction The Penguin Parade. After sunset, the endearing little penguins will emerge from the water in small groups, embarking on their journey across the beach. Follow along the boardwalks to witness these charming creatures as they waddle back to their nests, their bellies full from a day of fishing at sea.
To conclude our adventure, we'll reconvene at the bus and commence our return journey to Melbourne.
