About This Adventure

Embark on a memorable boat ecotour to St. Phillips Island, exploring lush estuaries and enjoying an interpretive tram ride through a stunning maritime forest. Choose your adventure on the beach—search for ocean treasures or hike trails to spot wildlife like birds and alligators. Experience nature like never before!

Take a boat ecotour through the estuaries behind our barrier islands to St. Phillips Island. Once we reach the island, an interpretive tram ride will take you through the old growth maritime forest to the picnic area conveniently located near the beach. Once at the beach, you get to choose your adventure. Beach comb and search for ocean treasures or hike some of the trail system within the maritime forest to look for birds, alligators and other wildlife. The Saint Phillips Island Ferry is a day in nature that you won’t forget.

The group will meet at the Coastal Expeditions Saint Helena Campus at 8:00 a.m. and the tour will last approximately 5 hours in total.
