Armand Bayou Nature Center in Pasadena, Texas preserves and interprets coastal bayou habitat while offering a wide range of guided outdoor experiences and hands-on education. EcoTeens and EcoAdventurers offer two-hour environmental science sessions for homeschooled students on Wednesdays, focusing on STEM exploration and nature careers. Marsh Monday invites volunteers and visitors to participate in marsh grass rescue, propagation, and restoration work; no prior experience is required and participants meet in the front parking lot at 8:30 am. Morning Bayou Cruise and Sunset Cruise provide 2.5-hour opportunities to view wildlife during breakfast and sunset hours. Pelicans & Pirates themed paddles and pontoon tours explore local history and wildlife connections. Bayou Safari Tours use electric vehicles and elevated boardwalks to view bison, the farm area, and scenic bayou stops. All programs emphasize safe, guided exploration of the bayou and surrounding habitats.
Staffed programs are led by trained guides and educators who prioritize safety, education, and habitat protection, creating accessible outdoor experiences that connect participants with coastal ecosystems year-round throughout the seasons.
