  • Aldabra tortoises are some of the largest living tortoises in the world, and some believe they are the longest living animals as well. In the wild, they are found on Aldabra Island in the Indian Ocean, northeast of Madagascar. Although once considered an endangered species, recent accounts from Aldabra Island show an abundance of these tortoises with population estimates ranging from 33,000 to 100,000!

Additional Information:

  • Not all family/group members may be able to interact with the tortoises at the same time.

  • We reserve the right to end any encounter where guest behavior creates a risk to themselves or the tortoises.
