About

Come meet and learn about some of the world’s largest rodents! Provided as a separate program to our Otter Swim Encounters, Nurtured by Nature is offering a new experience for guests to float and interact with the capybaras on land and in our lazy river. This group tour will be offered by reservation only on alternating Wednesdays and Saturdays to groups of up to 8 people.

During the 3 hour CAPYHOUR experience, guests will have the opportunity to meet many of our other resident animals who are not always a part of the Otter Swim Encounter programs, concluding in the lazy river with our friendly Capybaras

  • Hop with the Kangaroos
  • Watch Otters play in the Old California Gold Mine
  • Hoot with Owls
  • Admire a Clouded Leopard
  • Give snacks to the Six-banded Armadillos
  • See what treats make a Happy Capy
  • Set up playtime for our Ring-tailed Lemurs in Trader John’s Jungle Outpost
  • Feed fish bits to our playful Arctic Foxes
  • Find out what a Paca is
  • Float with the Capybaras

Because we always give the animals the opportunity to decide if they want to play or not, the schedule of animals can change depending on the circumstances of the day!
