You hit the dirt as the morning heat peels back over the Yucatán—ATV engines chattering, dust lifting from rutted jungle tracks while ceiba and mangrove blur at the edges. The park feels alive: birds call from the canopy, the air smells of damp earth, and every turn reveals another promise—towering zipline platforms, a mirror-still cenote, and a low cliff that will ask you to rappel.
moderate.
5–6 hours.
Suitable for most active travelers; basic cardiovascular fitness and comfort swimming are recommended.
The excursion runs about 5½ hours and typically includes round-trip transport, ATV laps, a zipline circuit (including one over water), cenote swimming with lifejackets, a 4 m rappel, a Mayan ceremony, and a regional meal.
No prior experience is required—guides give safety briefings and basic instruction; those uncomfortable driving can sometimes share an ATV depending on booking.
Lifejackets are provided and guides supervise the cenote area, but participants should be comfortable being in water and following guide directions.
Closed-toe shoes, a swimsuit, quick-dry clothes, biodegradable sunscreen, insect repellent, and a small amount of cash for extras are recommended.
Cenotes were central to Maya life and cosmology as freshwater sources; many sites in the area served both practical and ritual roles for local communities.
Operators work under local regulations to limit impact on cave and cenote systems—avoid lotions in water, respect marked paths, and use provided lockers to minimize debris in natural areas.
