About

Please remember there are usually less crowds and better weather on morning 1/2 day trips. (Afternoon thunderstorms are a common occurrence in Colorado during the summer months). Guests typically see more wildlife on our morning trips.

The Colorado River offers something for everyone, as a fun, splashy, and beautiful beginner whitewater rafting experience close to both Steamboat Springs and Vail. The Colorado River is perfect for the whole family. Depending on water levels, this section of the Colorado River is more of a wilderness float trip, with a few splashy class II and small class III rapids that's just enough to make everyone laugh and squeal.

If you have some adventurous folks in your group, we offer two-man inflatable kayaks (duckies) at no extra charge. Duckies can really make things more interesting and challenging. They follow the larger guided rafts down river, we all stay in a group, and there will be an opportunity to switch between the larger raft and the ducky. Duckies are limited depending on river flows and availability. We try our best to have at least one available for every reservation. (You can look at the river and decide if you'd like to take an inflatable kayak once you arrive).
Come experience a scenic tour through the headwaters of the Colorado River today!

In order to better protect the riparian ecosystem surrounding the Colorado River, we try to not run trips on weekends due to overcrowding. We are doing our part to limit our river footprint throughout busy weekends. However, if your group's only availability is during Saturday or Sunday, please call us to schedule so we can do our best to accommodate your group.
