Join Guide School for an immersive 6-day program tailored for aspiring and current Raft Guides. Enhance your skills with opportunities for Grade 2, Grade 3, or Trip Leader assessments, while gaining valuable insights through observation. Welcome to Guide School!
This 6 day program is designed for aspiring and existing Raft Guides who want to further their experience and qualifications.
The program can include the BCAB Advanced White Water Safety course for those who require this assessment prerequisite.
As long as you meet the minimum criteria there are opportunities available to sit your Grade 2, Grade 3 or Trip Leader Assessment.
If you are not putting yourself forward for assessment, your guide training will continue over the assessment days and give you the opportunity to observe assessments and further develop your knowledge and understanding of the assessment requirements.
If you are looking to register for an assessment please ensure you have the following in place. Assessment prerequisites are;
*What qualifies as appropriate safety training For grade 2 raft guide you will need to have completed an BCAB White Water Safety course (or the old WWSR) or Rescue 3 WRT.
For grade 3 raft guide you will need to have completed an BCAB Advanced White Water Safety course (or old AWWSR) or Rescue 3 WRT Pro.
*What is assessment registration If you signing up for assessment, pre registration for that assessment is required. This is done through your online profile on the Paddle UK website. The online registration process will check your prerequisites, if these are in place you will automatically receive registration approval.
