About

**We pick you up in style at your hotel in executive transportation. This is a private tour for you and your party only. We board executive transport nearby and we take you to the Liberties neighbourhood of Dublin, which once housed 32 working distilleries, all of which disappeared in the 20th century. But now, distilling is returning to the Liberties with a bang! And this afternoon, we take you to three new Dublin distilleries.

ROE & CO AND THE ART OF WHISKET COCKTAIL MAKING

We start with probably the coolest whiskey experience in town – the Flavours Workshop at Roe & Co. This is our favourite whiskey experience, so it just has be part of the agenda! We visit an old Guinness beer power station, which is now the Roe & Co Distillery. The great team at Roe will take you on saunter through the working distillery, then into the Flavours Room where you’ll be shown how to create a whiskey cocktail that suits your palate. You will also sample Roe Blend 106 – the flagship expression from this distillery.

The tour finishes in the bar where you sample a lovely Roe tall drink. Our time at Roe will warm up your palate just right , ahead of our next distillery visits!

PEARSE LYONS DISTILLERY

Next we’re off to Pearse Lyons Distillery, set in St. James’ Church which dates back to the 12th century. The tour includes a saunter around the graveyard on the grounds of the church and the you’ll hear the fascinating stories of those buried there. Discover the distillery in all it’s glory, set in the restored church. We’ll have a private tasting of two Pearse Lyons whiskeys and their delicious rhubarb gin.

Our objective today is to showcase the Irish whiskey category in all it’s glory. There is so much innovation to share, lots of unique approaches and flavours. For instance – Pearse Original is matured in American oak barrels that have been used for bourbon whiskey and stout beer. As your Whiskey Specialist Hosts, we control the narrative , ensuring that you do not hear over and over again how Irish whiskey is made! We’ll also gladly share some tips on best pubs in Dublin for drinking whiskey and beer and the really great restaurants showcasing the best in Irish food.

TEELING WHISKEY DISTILLERY The ideal finish is with Teeling Whiskey Distillery – the first new distillery to open in Dublin in over 125 years. The Teeling brothers have already heaps of awards for their whiskeys and are captains of innovation in their approach to making whiskey. Your Host will take you on a visit to the distillery floor , a proper quintessential Irish distillery. We arrive in the bar for a private tasting of Teeling Small Batch, Single Grain and Teeling Single Pot Still. Teeling Distillery is an absolute must on any Dublin distillery trail.
