Whirlyball in Novi: Private Courts, High-Energy Group Play for 40–80 Guests

Whirlyball in Novi, Michigan, delivers a rowdy, kinetic blast of team play for groups looking for something beyond bowling or escape rooms. Located in Novi, this facility hosts private-court Whirlyball sessions on two courts with attached rooms that seat up to forty people, perfect for parties, corporate outings, and large social gatherings. The central draw is the sport itself: players ride small electric "Whirlybugs" and use handheld scoops to pass and shoot a lacrosse-style ball—part bumper cars, part basketball, part jai alai—while teams race to outmaneuver opponents. The venue's two courts and private lounges let large groups rotate, keep gear and food nearby, and run mini-tournaments without interrupting play. A strict 54-inch height requirement keeps players safe and ensures everyone can reach the controls; staff schedule court time by reservation only. Bookings commonly run an hour per 10–15 players, and this operator offers five-hour blocks for bigger groups who want a full-event experience. What sets this Novi operation apart is the scale and event focus: two enclosed courts that include exclusive-use private rooms make it simple to combine active play with catering, awards, and social time. The floor is a smooth indoor sport surface designed for the electric cars to turn sharply; the clack of plastic scoops, squeal of bumpers, and shouted strategy give the space an arena feel. For first-timers the game is intuitive, but it rewards quick reflexes and teamwork, so competitive groups find it fast to learn and hard to forget. Small practical details matter: the facility enforces a play-at-your-own-risk policy and recommends people with heart, back, or neck conditions, pacemakers, or pregnancy avoid participation. The operator also highlights that reservations are required and private lounges are available only during court rentals. Whether you’re booking a company outing, bachelor party, or a birthday for a big crew, Whirlyball gives Novi a distinct indoor-adventure option that complements the Detroit-area's outdoor parks and craft-brew scene. It’s loud, joyful, and organized—an urban playground that transforms a sports court into a theatrical, kinetic contest. Reserve early for weekend slots, plan 45–60 minutes of play per rotation, and treat the lounge like your event command center: it’s the most efficient way to convert rowdy fun into a memory that travels home with every player. The facility sits in the commercial corridor of Novi with ample parking and easy highway access, which makes arrival and gear drops straightforward for large parties. Staff can help sequence teams, set timers for round-robin play, and advise on music and AV needs for awards. Expect light reverberation in peak hours—bring ear protection if you are noise-sensitive—and confirm footwear rules before you arrive so every player is ready to jump into action. Book courts to run parallel brackets.
