Whirlyball in Novi: Private 1-Hour Group Courts for Up to 40

In Novi, Michigan, the 1 Hour Whirlyball Experience • Groups Up To 40 transforms a weekday evening or weekend celebration into full-contact laughter and competitive chaos. Located in Novi, this booking gives private use of one of two indoor Whirlyball courts and the attached private room for your group for the reserved hour. Each room seats up to forty people, making the experience ideal for birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette events, corporate mixers, and sports-club socials. The core features are simple and immediate: two dedicated courts, attached private lounges, and a staff-managed schedule on a first-come, first-served reservation basis. Whirlyball in this venue demands a minimum height of 54 inches for all participants; the organizer recommends planning roughly one hour of play for every 10–15 players. The facility’s private Lounge can be rented for the duration of your court time and provides an enclosed space to regroup, serve food, or present awards without sharing space with other groups. Safety and accessibility are front and center. The operator labels Whirlyball a Play At Your Own Risk activity and advises that persons with heart conditions, back or neck issues, pacemakers, or pregnancy should avoid playing. Typical injuries are rare but possible; organizers brief teams on handling collisions and vehicle controls before the whistle. Helmets or safety gear may be provided—confirm at booking—and all players are expected to follow staff directions during play. Why this experience stands out in the Novi outdoor and recreation scene is its contagious energy inside a suburban sports landscape otherwise dominated by golf courses and trailheads. It's one of the few options in the area that scales to large private groups and centers physical play and laughter over passive spectating. For travelers from the Detroit metro looking for an active, weatherproof night out, this is a reliable, loud, and social alternative. Practical advice: book early for weekend slots, bring closed-toe shoes, and expect a short safety briefing before you hit the court. If you’re planning a team-building event, specify group size so staff can advise whether to book contiguous hours or split play across both courts. The lounge’s private status makes it easy to bring catering or awards, but confirm arrangements in advance. All Whirlyball times are scheduled by reservation only, and the venue operates on a first-come, first-served basis; call ahead for custom quotes for larger events or to confirm lounge catering options. Expect staff to handle scoring and basic instruction, allowing newcomers to learn quickly. Whether you’re assembling a reunion or a competitive office league, the setup here makes organizing large groups more straightforward.
