About

Our tours are 3 hours long and leave from the docks in Hoonah. Our tour goes beyond a boat ride. We’ll pick you up and drop you off as well as serve you coffee and snacks. We will work to make your experience memorable!

Each tour on our 31.5 foot catamaran, Thor II, is unique. We offer a small-group experience and take no more than 6 passengers. The knowledge of Captain Jordan Savland ensures you will see whales! Our tour leaves from Hoonah, Alaska and will extend as far as Pleasant Island (16 miles, 25km) to find whales. Along the way we will see a variety of marine-life such as seals, sea otters, sea-lions, and marine birds. We may even see brown bears!

What to Bring

Depending on the weather, you may want to bring warmer clothes, like a sweatshirt and possibly a light rain jacket. The boat will be heated and there is an overhang around the outside to help keep you warm and dry. If you have binoculars you may also want to bring them. We will have a couple pairs on the boat for passenger use. We will provide a light snack and beverages. If you think you’ll want more than that please bring your own food.
