Experience a serene 2½-hour sail with Sail Tortuga in Portland Harbour, where you'll be captivated by breathtaking views of towering cliffs and the Jurassic Coast. Enjoy a refreshing swim or a cozy cup of tea as you explore this historic harbor, making unforgettable memories on the water.

Sail Tortuga invites you to join us for a tranquil sail in the beautiful Portland Harbour. This 2⅟₂ hour journey will take you around Portland's historic harbour, providing stunning views of the areas picturesque natural beauty. You'll be able to admire towering cliffs, world class sailing and a working port as we make our way around the harbour. Weather permitting we'll sail out into Weymouth bay for uninterrupted views of the Jurassic Coast. Mid way though the trip we'll anchor, get the swim platforms out to enjoy a dip, or just a cup of tea.

Important to Know

We provide the yacht with a skipper, tea, coffee and water are on tap, you’re also welcome to bring any other food and drinks that you'd like enjoy. There’s a toilet for use whilst onboard. We have all the plates, bowls, cups and cutlery that you’ll need, along with one high chair. Tortuga has a Bluetooth stereo, you can connect and play your favourite sound track to accompany the spectacular scenery. We have a selection of blankets, however it’s worth being prepared with some warm clothing, just in case it gets chilly.

Meeting Point

This trip starts and finishes from Portland Marina, DT5 1DX. Our skipper will be there to meet you outside the restaurant Salt, from there Tortuga is moored a short 5 minute walk through the pontoons of the Marina.

Getting Here.

  • Driving, Portland Marina is just off the A354, which is the only road to Portland. Follow Signs for Osprey Quay and National Sailing Academy, for your SAT VAV use DT5 1 DX. Parking information can be found here
  • Bus, Portland Marina is a 400m walk from the bus stop outside the National Sailing Academy, it’s the number 1 bus route which departs from Weymouth Seafront. We are also a 400m walk from Portland Castle, this is a stop for both the Portland open top bus route (PORT) and cruise ship shuttle service.
