The park offers lots of open space in addition to the cove. The Wethersfield Historical Society maintains a maritime exhibit at the Cove Warehouse - exhibits contain reminders of the West Indies trade that flourished in Wethersfield from 1650 to 1830.
Along with your visit to historic Wethersfield and Cove Park; you can plan to come aboard for a tour of the cove and the Connecticut River.
The tours offer narrations on local history, natural beauty, areas of interest and highlight the river as a regional treasure.
