Join our exciting kids' surf lessons starting mid-October, where fun meets skill development! With expert instructors, top-notch equipment, and a focus on teamwork, your child will learn to surf while making new friends. Download The App / Free Surf Lesson Notifications Our classes run every day surf is up and by downloading the Wellington Surf Lessons App you can receive notifications on your phone 2-3 days prior to when we are running classes. This is important as lessons are surf/weather dependant which means we may not have all our lesson times available on the calendar until a few days prior.

Note: If you have booked a surf lesson in advance and the weather conditions are not suitable for surfing we will offer you an alternative day to book.

About

Our Kids Group Classes are aimed at local kids looking to get into surfing and make new friends. The emphasis is on fun and helping local kids access surfing.

We will aim to work with your child at their current skill level within the group. Please feel free to chat with us at the start of the lesson about anything specific you'd like us to work on!

  • We use the Surfing NZ Approved Vision Softboards which are easy to balance, paddle, stand & turn on

  • Super warm C-Skins wetsuits

  • 1.5 hours of expert instruction from qualified Surfing NZ Instructors

  • Discounts on boards, wetsuits and accessories at our surf shop called Wellington Surf Co based in Miramar

Extra Accessories

Booties, gloves and hoods are $10 a pair and need to be booked and paid for on arrival. Will be first in first served on available sizes.

Location

We are a mobile surf school and our trailer is located by the Lyall Bay Surf Life Saving Club. Please meet 30min before your lesson at the trailer for check-in.
