About

Here at The Retreat at Crabtree Falls, you’ll experience luxury glamping like you never dreamed possible. Each of our glamping sites feature a soaring, beautifully hand-sewn canvas tent placed on a tongue-and-groove hardwood deck and is located alongside Lick Branch Creek that runs through our peaceful, mountainside property. The centerpiece king bed is of the quality you would find in a five-star luxury hotel. You’ll fall asleep to the sounds of rushing water and the wind rustling through the trees. You will wake to birds chirping, and a soft and bright greeting from the sun peaking over the mountain tops. Within each tent guests will discover a beautifully handmade, rough-cut, wooden king-size bed, hand-hewn bedside tables and a rustic dining table and chairs. An open-flame stove provides not only warmth but also a romantic ambiance for fire-gazing enjoyment from the cozy leather sofa. A Keurig coffee maker, k-cups and other coffee bar items are also provided in each tent. Our decks feature two rocking chairs for enjoying the views and sounds of Lick Branch creek, a natural mountain spring brook that flows down Fork Mountain past all four tents. Perfect for morning coffee, time to sit and talk to one another, nature watching, reading, relaxing or a glass of wine in the evening, the porch will be certain to steal your heart and fill you with lasting memories of this peaceful haven. Just off the deck, guests will be awestruck by the irregular flagstone patios and the intricate rock wall features created with rocks sourced from the property. These stunning patios feature a 30” smokeless Breeo fire pit for campfires and two Adirondack chairs. Included in the Breeo fire pit are all the cooking accessories one could desire from the Outpost Grill to the Searplate Griddle for making your breakfasts, lunches and dinners! For guests who want a more familiar method of cooking, charcoal Weber grills are also located on each patio. This is the perfect location for our guests to enjoy the sounds of the river and the view of Pinnacle Ridge off The Priest Mountain.
Your own luxurious, private bathroom is part of your glamping experience. Immerse yourself in floor-to-ceiling limestone walls, as your feet are warmed by the radiant stained concrete floors. Freshen up for a night out on the Brew Ridge Trail over floating concrete vanities, or shower off the sweat of a great day spent hiking the Appalachian Trail. Each glamping site has its own private, locked bathroom located in the central bathhouse which is just a moments walk down the lit pathway. All amenities required for a top-of-the-line experience are provided, including bedding, bathroom linens and toiletries, paper products for the bathroom and dining, cooking utensils, a Keruig coffee maker with coffee, creamer and sugar. Each pathway is lined with lights so that walking to and from the glamping site is simple, even in the evenings. Our glamping tents have a maximum occupancy of 2 and guests must be 21 or older. These tents are not pet-friendly; for our guests with dogs, we recommend staying in our pet-friendly cabins! Weekends will have a two-night minimum (ie: Thursday & Friday, Friday & Saturday, and Saturday & Sunday).
