About This Adventure

Embark on a serene morning adventure at Abiquiu Lake, where you can kayak or canoe amidst breathtaking 21,000 acres of stunning landscapes. Experience the tranquility and beauty of the lake while exploring its quiet shores. Prepare for a memorable outing with essential gear for a day of fun and exploration.

We meet on the front porch of the Welcome Center (Ghost Ranch Headquarters) at 8:45AM.

Join the adventure…we travel across the street from our Main Campus to our waterfront on Abiquiu Lake. Mornings on the lake bring a great sense of calm, beauty and fun. Enjoy the 21,000 acres of stunning views and time to explore the quiet end of the lake. You will be assigned a kayak or canoe based on availability.

Be prepared with sturdy water shoes, we have a steep and rocky shoreline. Also, backpack, water, sunscreen, hat, sun glasses, and personal medications.
