We meet on the front porch of the Welcome Center (Ghost Ranch Headquarters) at 8:45AM.
Join the adventure…we travel across the street from our Main Campus to our waterfront on Abiquiu Lake. Mornings on the lake bring a great sense of calm, beauty and fun. Enjoy the 21,000 acres of stunning views and time to explore the quiet end of the lake. You will be assigned a kayak or canoe based on availability.
Be prepared with sturdy water shoes, we have a steep and rocky shoreline. Also, backpack, water, sunscreen, hat, sun glasses, and personal medications.
Always verify weather before heading out, as wind and storms can impact water conditions.
Apply sunscreen, wear a hat, and bring polarized sunglasses for comfort and safety on sunny days.
Stay hydrated while enjoying a full day on the water, especially in warm weather.
For safety, especially on open water, always go with a companion or inform someone of your plans.
